Vet emergencies, inspired by human medicine

Our veterinary emergency centers are all equipped with human medicine equipment, especially set-up for emergency vet activity. Indeed, our vet emergency centers have these cutting-edge technologies that allow us to deliver accurate diagnoses and effective treatments. Thus, EVC structures can offer your companions a level of care equivalent to that of the best human hospitals.

Learn more about:

Always looking to delivering the best care, our vet emergency centers have a complete range of human medical equipment adapted for rapid veterinary intervention such as:

  • ER specifically dedicated to dogs and cats, for greater comfort and efficiency.
  • Surgical team ready to react at any time, including minimally invasive surgery such as endoscopy or laparoscopy
  • emergency imaging with equipment such as MRI, scanner or ultrasound.
  • the anesthesia department managed by an European specialist in Anesthesia and Pain Management, relying on the operation of anesthesia machines equipped with artificial respirators.
  • the complete laboratory that allows us to quickly carry out diagnoses and additional examinations of our patients.
  • a pharmacy adapted with all the molecules necessary for pain management as well as various emergency situations.
  • resuscitation trolleys allowing the medical-care team to always be ready to intervene quickly when a critical situation arises.
  • veterinary ambulances to carry out medical transports if necessary

These devices allow us to intervene quickly and precisely, particularly in cases where a rapid diagnosis is crucial for your animal’s prognosis.

We like to keep things simple at EVC. We are convinced that communication is the key to ensuring optimal care. This is why we have implemented rigorous coordination of care around the different services: emergency, surgery, hospitalization, resuscitation, intensive care, imaging, analysis laboratory and veterinary ambulance.

Similar to the management of complex cases in a human hospital environment, this multifactorial approach allows for continuity of care between your home, your treating veterinarian and our centers.

Our veterinary emergency centers also follow strict protocols from the latest recommendations in emergency veterinary medicine, for the confidentiality of medical information, guaranteeing respectful and secure treatment of your animal’s data.

Our medical and nursing team is a team specially trained in emergency care: from consultations to intensive care, including hospitalization and resuscitation.

For the most delicate moments, our palliative and end-of-life care is offered to you with an emphasis on support and respect. Indeed, we want to ensure that your pet’s last moments are peaceful and dignified.

In conclusion, the DNA of our veterinary emergency centers is always seeking to offer you not only high-quality veterinary medicine, but also a human and reassuring experience during each visit to the emergency room.

A unique Swiss model

The EVC model is a model designed for pet owners and also for veterinarians. A unique model in Switzerland.

Indeed, the EVC model is based on the close collaboration between two independent but complementary veterinary structures.

Thus, the host structures hosting the EVC veterinary emergency centers offer their clients a general medicine and/or specialized medicine service. Consequently, through this collaboration, the EVC veterinary emergency centers and the host structures share the same premises and provide their clients, and the surrounding region, with a continuous veterinary service 24/7:

  • the host structure is in charge of care during normal opening hours;
  • the EVC veterinary emergency centers are in charge of providing emergency care every night during the week, as well as 24/7 on weekends and public holidays.

Our commitment. We act as an extension of local veterinary practices to meet the urgent needs of their clients outside of business hours.

They trust us with their emergencies

At EVC, we like to closely work with your treating vet

An emergency can happen at any time, including when your primary or primary veterinarian is closed.

We act as an extension of their veterinary practices  for emergency care outside of business hours, medical transport using our ambulances, home visits when travel is not an option or for end-of-life care in the comfort of your own home.

We systematically send a detailed report to your veterinarian if we consult your pet.
