A top quality emergency vet service

A 360° approach to emergencies

We are directly inspired by the human hospital model. We provide comprehensive and rapid emergency care, with the same level of rigor, precision, and attention to detail as a human hospital.

We use human medical equipment adapted to veterinary practice, including:

  • Emergency imaging, with ultrasound and digital radiography, essential for managing complex emergencies and refining diagnoses.

  • Management of the most critical cases, including intensive care with the monitoring equipment required for continuous care and resuscitation.

  • Continuous monitored hospitalisation, providing high-quality care for dogs, cats, and small mammals.

A 24/7 emergency service in collaboration with your veterinarian

The EVC emergency service is based on a unique model in Switzerland: a close collaboration between independent yet complementary veterinary structures.

EVC Lausanne and Animed veterinary clinic share the same premises and provide their clients and the region with continuous veterinary care coverage :

  • Animed Bussigny provides veterinary care during regular weekday opening hours.
  • EVC Lausanne provides emergency care during weekends and public holidays, including out-of-hours emergency coverage.

⚠️ For overnight emergencies, please contact EVC Etoy (directions here).

EVC at-home care provides veterinary care for your companion at home 7 days a week and can also arrange medical transport if required.

Your veterinarian’s extension during out-of-hours care

An emergency can happen at any time, even when your primary veterinarian is closed.

That is why we act as an extension of veterinary practices in the Lausanne region and surrounding areas, including Bussigny, Crissier, Renens, Pully, Lutry, Epalinges, and nearby communities.

The EVC Lausanne Emergency Center is committed to providing emergency care on behalf of your primary veterinarian during weekends and public holidays.

For overnight emergencies, the emergency vet care center EVC Etoy provides emergency care (directions).

In addition, when travelling to the clinic is not possible, we offer a veterinary at-home care service through our veterinary ambulances. This option can also provide your companion with a peaceful end-of-life experience in the comfort of their own home. We can also arrange medical transport when required. The ambulance service is subject to availability.

Finally, after each consultation, we systematically send a detailed medical report to your primary veterinarian to ensure optimal continuity of care.
